[This first article is vital for you and me in these changing times – one man’s encounter with our living Lord, Jesus Christ, who showed him what was real and warned of what was to come.]
“In the mid 1990s, the Lord shut down my business and began revealing some things to me. I was a schoolteacher and burned out and I was looking for a different kind of business. The Lord led me to the business I’m in and not only that. He blessed it beyond my wildest imagination. In fact, after a while we were making more money in a month than I used to make in a year teaching school. What happened is, we were part of a major church, a big seeker church, and we became very established in it. My wife was in the choir and I was a major contributor to all the programs. We started taking trips around the country. We were into all the various aspects of the business that was exploding – all the great trimmings of life – five star hotels, taking the boys to all the amusement parks, our church life was great, we were in Bible studies. Everything was going great. We were living the Christian American dream. This went on for a couple of years and we figured that we were under the blessings of the Lord. We bought into a lot of the health and wealth gospel of the day thinking we deserved to be wealthy. We bought into the whole rapture thing that if something does happen we will go out rich and happy and all that. We did not have a clue as to what was really going on. We basically turned our backs and had our heads stuck in the sand as far as what’s going on in this country.
“That’s basically our background when the Lord shut the business down. I started doing some heavy praying and just asked the Lord why the business was stopped. I couldn’t figure it out – it just didn’t make any sense to me. All of a sudden, I started receiving in the mail and over the internet things like videos and tapes, articles and newsletters on this thing called the ‘New World Order,’ and documents written years ago that I thought were unbelievable. I couldn’t believe there could be this kind of undercurrent behind the things that were happening in the world. It almost seemed to me like it was controlled. Then the Lord spoke to me saying that it is controlled. It’s controlled by demonic powers and there is a conspiracy against Christians and against this country and against the world to bring in this one world government led by the Antichrist. All of a sudden the whole picture started becoming clear to me. The final thing that I got was a document written about 200 years ago that just laid everything out, all the plan out, and it was exactly what is going on today. The document was so absolutely wicked, so evil, I just couldn’t believe people could be that evil. The Lord said, ‘You’re not struggling with flesh and blood here, you’re struggling with principalities and powers’ and they are absolutely evil.
“I was fixing dinner in 1997 after the Lord had dealt with me and I was given all these things. It was really a great dinner I was fixing and the Lord told me to go on a fast. Immediately, He took away my hunger and I went on this fast, praying and crying out to Him. The neat thing about this fast was that He would wake me up at 3:00 in the morning. The first morning He woke me up and said, ‘Get up.’ I wasn’t used to hearing His voice so I didn’t get up. He wouldn’t let me go back to sleep. I heard it over and over again: Get up! Get up!
“I got up and started walking out and he pushed my head on the ground. I was this business man – this was all new to me. I didn’t know what was going on. I’m a ‘left brain’ guy. I just deal in rational thinking. But He had my head on the carpet and started bringing up my sins. All the things that I thought were okay He started to bring up. The Lord convicted me and I started weeping on the floor, just crying out to the Lord. I thought I was a pretty good person and that we had a good Christian walk. He was bringing up all this stuff to me. That went on most of the day. I would find myself in a corner crying out to the Lord and weeping. The second day, same thing, 3:00 in the morning, ‘Get up!’ This time it only took me 15 minutes to get up. Once again, He had me weeping on the floor and crying out. This time I was weeping for the sins of America. He was bringing the sins of America before my eyes and I was weeping over that for a couple of days. He led me into a Christian bookstore and showed me in a vision everything all torn up and ripped and the Bibles all messed up. I wasn’t quite sure what was going on but these were visions that I was having during this time. This was all totally new to me. I had heard about it happening to others but to have it happen to me was incredible. About the fifth day of my fast, at 3:00 in the morning, He said, ‘Get up!’ and this time I got right up and went into the living room. Once again I was on the floor and crying out. My wife came in because I was crying loud. She started interceding in prayer. I told her what was going on in this country and once again the Lord brought up not only my sins but all the sins of this country. I was in a corner of the room holding my Bible in my hands and the Lord hit me with a vision of the book of Revelation. He took me through the book of Revelation in what seemed like a second. I can’t explain that to anybody, I don’t know what happened but I know He took me through the entire book in what seemed like a second. I lived that book as if I were going through all the things in Revelation. He took that rapture notion right out of my head and I realized we’re going to go through this book of Revelation. This was coming, and He said there is an urgency and this is coming upon this country, this book is coming upon our country. All these plagues written in this book are coming upon this world, and specifically upon this country.
“At that time, I just lost it. I had my Bible in my hand and I said to my wife, ‘This is true, this is all true!’ She said, ‘Yea, yea, I know, it’s the Bible, it’s all true, of course.’ ‘No, no, you don’t understand, it is absolutely true.’ Suddenly it was in my spirit that this book, this Bible, anything written in it is true and correct and it’s going to happen upon this country and upon this world. God’s Word will not come back void. This was a major, major conviction of where I was at and I think I freaked my wife out. She was like, wow! Who is this guy? But I was so full with the Holy Ghost.
“The next thing I did was call our pastor. I knew he needed to hear this word from the Lord and what’s coming down. They needed to be warned. It was 4:30 in the morning. I called my pastor telling him I had a word for the church and it had to be given. He told me to come over. So I drove over to my pastor’s house and on the way said. ‘Lord, what is the word that I’m supposed to bring because You said I should bring a word?’ He said, ‘Daniel 9. You need to go to Daniel 9 and I’m going to tell you what to say and what to change while you read it to him.’
“I got to his house and read Daniel 9 to him: ‘O Lord, the great and awesome God who keeps his covenant of love with all who love Him and obey His commands, we have sinned And done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled. We have turned away from your commands and Your laws. We have not listened to Your servants the prophets who have spoken Your name to our president, our congress, our courts and all the people of the land. Lord, You are righteous, but this day we are covered with shame. The men of the United States and the women of the United States and all Israel, both near and far have sinned against You, O Lord. O Lord, we and our president, our congress and all our courts are covered with shame because we have sinned against you. The Lord our God is merciful and forgiving even though we have rebelled against Him. We have not obeyed the Lord our God or kept His laws that He gave to His servants the prophets. All Israel has transgressed Your law and turned away refusing to obey, therefore all the curses and sworn judgments written in the law of Moses, the servant of God, will be poured out upon us because we have sinned against You. You will fulfill the word spoken against us and against our rulers by bringing upon us a great disaster. Under the whole heaven, nothing will ever be done like what is going to be done to the United States. Just as is written in the law of Moses, all this disaster will come upon us, yet we have not sought the favor of the Lord our God by turning from our sins and giving attention to Your truth. The Lord will not hesitate to bring this disaster upon us for the Lord our God is righteous in everything He does, yet we have not obeyed Him.’
“After I read that to my pastor, the Lord said, ‘Look at all Israel, what is all Israel?’ And immediately He said, ‘It’s the church. All Israel is the church. The church is going to be judged.’ The church is going to be judged by the Lord God. The outcome of the message is that it was rejected by our church. The pastor said, ‘That’s not from God. God wouldn’t give you a message like that, it’s not exegetically correct to change things in the Bible like that. What you’re doing there is not correct exegesis and we reject that word. And besides that, you’re putting fear into the congregation and you’re going to have to stop right now.’
“So we were called before the council of the church and told to stop. He basically told us, ‘You are interfering with our building plans. We have plans and if you keep on speaking this way, you’re going to interfere with the building plans of the church.’ So that word was rejected by that body and eventually we gave it again but eventually they were just very glad to see us leave. That was in 1997.
“I do have a recent word for the church as well. Once again, the Lord told me to go on a fast. He immediately took away my hunger just like He did back then. He said, ‘There is a deception upon the body of Christ. It is so strong and so powerful that, like the Word says, even the elect can be deceived.’ He also told me, ‘One of the principalities over this deception is the Jezebel spirit. It is in control of the pulpits and over control of the churches of this country.’ Once again, He woke me up at 4:00 in the morning and said, ‘Get up. I want to show you what’s going on.’ He took me to the book of Kings and I started reading about Jezebel and Ahab. I said, ‘I know, we’ve had words that there is a Jezebel spirit over our church.’ The Lord said, ‘It’s much deeper than you think. You’re thinking in terms of a little bit of control, but it goes much deeper. The Jezebel spirit over American churches is this: The Jezebel spirit protects the prophets of Baal and kills the prophets of the Lord. It is going on in this country right now.’”
